Who parked this thing last?

Oh yeah! My great taxiing skills!

At least I was on the centerline during takeoff.

Goodbye Australia!  Oh wait… this is a domestic flight

The most exciting part of the cruise

I don’t think that shape is normal for the sun…

The normally uneventful horizon… the only thing I’m not used to is that enormous wingtip

Beginning the descent:

Waiting for clearance:

“We have visual on the runway.”

Missed the approach… it was the flaps’ fault!  Ha ha actually they were a little annoying because they prevented me from descending any, but if I had a lower approach they would have done just fine

That doesn’t look so bad, just turn around, fly for a couple miles, turn around again, and land… but ATC won’t do that… they have to take you 60 miles back, then off to one side, make a weird series of turns that doesn’t seem to go anywhere… leading you to cancel your flight plan and just land VFR!

Here’s my approach after I canceled IFR and turned around!  (Can’t blame me, I was running out of fuel)

Looks bad, but turned out to be my best landing ever (that’s not saying much)

Oh yeah… look at those lights… for maybe one-tenth of a second I can make them stay that way…

I actually look like I know what I’m doing for a split second:

Oh my gosh!  He might actually touch the beginning of the runway where he’s supposed to:

Yeah!  My first successful flare at the right height, and at least somewhere near the runway!

OK, OK, didn’t quite get the numbers, but still darn good for me

Tire marks on the right place on the runway! A first!

The “Tower” wherever that might be catches a view of my tail behind the KFC sign:

Let me think of a reason that I’m skidding off the runway… um… I’m just… uh… turning onto the taxiway at 100 mph (actually I never went off the pavement… another first for me)

And why my flaps aren’t down, even though I don’t trust them, honestly, is just the replay…

Hey, I did a better parking job than the last guy who parked MY 737.

Hey… can we have some stairs here… anybody?  Um… why is this the biggest plane here?   I have a strange feeling… is this the right airport?

I apologize for my excitement to those who think landing a 747 is no problem, but considering I can barely get a Learjet, for instance, on the ground, a 737 is a big accomplishment for me.  Thank you all for reading my stupid captions and looking at the pictures that this time are hopefully higher quality (I did the best I could).  I really appreciate your comments and attention that all the people out there who are ranked so much higher give to the little guy.

This was my last flight until, possibly, 2005.  It’s been such a short time since I joined but I’m just too busy.  I’m leaving on my family’s annual “around the world” trip in 2 days, where we’ll be going to Spain (gotta warm up my Spanish for Honors Spanish 2 next year), Maldives (lots of scuba diving), and Thailand (the only place I get to relax maybe).  Anyway, it sounds like fun, but it means I’m really busy, coming back on my birthday (August 24) and high school starts on the 28th, and I’ve got to move in to my dorm and stuff.  I’m not allowed to play FS or go on the forums until the second semester even.  I understand, but I’m afraid I’ll completely forget about Flying Tigers with all the other stuff on my mind.  So I bid you all goodbye, for now at least, and hopefully I can return.  Thanks again!
